The mission of EdNet Career Institute is carried forth by 

its function as a center for higher learning and 

professional skill building within the framework of state  

certification programs.  EdNet provides postsecondary 

education and training in demand occupations.  EdNet is 

dedicated to providing the highest quality of training and 

certification in order to build confident, innovative and 

educated students.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

CORE VALUES

The population served by EdNet includes individuals who have interests in the content areas offered by the Institute's certification programs.  Professionals with specific continuing education objectives and the community at large are served by the Institute's ongoing workshops and seminar series, in addition to community education activities.

 

The prospective student population centers on the mature adult learner who is attracted to demand industries. A high school diploma or completion of their GED is preferred.

 

Through a combination of lecture and hands-on experience, EdNet is uniquely poised to meet the needs of this student population.

We look for a variety among our admitted students because we belive it makes for a robust and exciting learning enviorment. We want all kinds of students to represent all kinds of backgrounds and pride ourselves on the diverse here at the EdNet Career Institute.

EdNet was founded in December 1995 and received approval in March of 1996 from the State Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) as a vocational 

institution.  Approval to operate means that EdNet is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 

(as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.  EdNet was incorporated in 1997 as a California Corporation.  The President holds 100% of 

the shares.

 

The State BPPE has conducted a qualitative review and assessment of the Institution as well as a site visit and has accepted the Institution to provide vocational and educational services under Education Code 94900.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

EdNet has been given the status as a non-degree granting institution by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. This means that EdNet is in  compliance with the minimum standard contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

 

EdNet provides training for individuals through the Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and the GAIN programs which assist individuals who have been laid off due to the economic downturn or who are receiving AFDC benefits.  EdNet is one of the many schools on the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) in the State of California.
